Happy Halloween!

It’s competition time - someone’s going to win £200 of vouchers!

Our Halloween competition is back again. This year - the Alien’s are coming.

The competition is the same as always - the fastest team to escape without any hints wins!

All games of Alien Infection played between October 1st and November 2nd 2025 are automatically included as long as no-one in the team has played the escape room before. (The host will always know - cheating has been tried - and it’s just embarrassing to watch!) To qualify you must complete the game without any hints from our host. You are of course welcome to ask for hints at any time so as to unstick yourselves if you get stuck, but doing so will mean your time won’t qualify.

Alien Infection was 2025’s new game from our Canadian developer partner VR Cave, and I think it’s one of their best yet. There’s some nice humour in the story of the old lady fretting over her missing cat, and not so much her missing husband!

The story draws on quite a history. Aliens have always been part of the cultural landscape, drifting between horror, science fiction and outright parody. From 1950s drive-in movies to conspiracy theories shared over late-night radio, the fascination with strange lights in the sky never seems to fade.

Alien experiments have been the butt of jokes for decades – a subject that probed the boundaries of acceptable cartoon humour first. Name a small town in the USA and the odds are someone has an abduction story to tell.

And whether it’s played for laughs or delivered with a straight face, the same details return again and again: beams of light, missing hours, mysterious marks, and memories that don’t quite add up. Alien Infection takes those familiar tropes and pulls you right into the middle of them — only this time, you’re in control of how the story ends.

To be in with a chance to win you need to book your game to play before 2nd November
