TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BOOKING

The person who completes the booking online will be the “leader” for the purposes of the booking. The leader is responsible for payment of the total booking price. The leader must confirm that all the other members of the party agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the group in relation to the booking, including any subsequent changes. The leader must be 18 years of age or over at the time of booking.

A booking is made with VR Escape Ltd when a) you pay us for the booking; and b) we issue you with a booking confirmation. We reserve the right to return your money and decline to issue a confirmation at our absolute discretion. A contract will exist between you and us when we issue a confirmation email to the leader that confirms the details of your booking. Upon receipt, if you believe that any details on the confirmation email are wrong you must advise us immediately and it may harm your rights if we are not notified of any inaccuracies.

Should any additional members of the group be added at a later date, it remains the responsibility of the leader to ensure that new members agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and are in receipt of all relevant information relating to the booking.

AGE RESTRICTIONS

The VR Escape games involve complex puzzles which make them unsuitable for groups of under 12s. If playing with adults then 10yrs years upwards. Under 16’s must be accompanied by an adult (in the room but not necessarily playing.) Under no circumstances are children allowed to be alone in the experience.

PREGNANCY

In Virtual Reality there is an increased risk of bumping into someone or falling due to leaning on virtual furniture. If you or any member of your party are pregnant and would be worried about bumping or falling in the real world, you MUST NOT PLAY in VR.

DISABILITIES AND MEDICAL

If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect the booking arrangements of that person, please tell us before you confirm your booking so we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen booking. In any case, you must give us full details in writing at the time of the booking. We may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying that you are fit to participate in the booking. Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking or if you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we will cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges when we become aware of these details.

TIME KEEPING

You are responsible for your own timekeeping. If you do not arrive on time we reserve the right to cancel your booking. Your session precedes someone else's session. We cannot allow your session to run late and unfairly impact another. It is not possible to add someone to a game once it has started so there is a very small window for late arrival.

INTOXICATION

If our games master believes you to be intoxicated you will not be allowed to play the game or remain in the building and you will not be refunded.

VIRTUAL REALITY AND GLASSES WEARERS

Our Virtual Reality Escape Rooms use current consumer HMD technology, with 3rd party head straps designed for comfort and ease of use. Your view, objects and scenery, will be entirely computer generated. Glasses wearers must note that while most frames will fit within the headset large ones may not. We have a few modified facial interfaces that may help but if you have the option, contact lenses may be preferable. By making a booking you accept and understand the above and if for any reason are unable to wear the technology required for the experience then you will not be entitled to a refund.

SAFETY

VR Escape Ltd is not liable for any (personal or equipment) damages caused by not following the rules described before the event. Each player agrees to the Terms and Condition of the Game before entering the escape room.

PHOTOGRAPHY

You may take photos/video of your group putting the headsets on or taking them off. If you have a non-playing party member they may take photos/video of the group playing. We can also take photos/video of your group. Any photographs/video we take of your group playing will be shared with you and you agree that they may be used by us in our marketing and social media posts. If you do not want your photograph to be used on our website, social media or other marketing, please make that clear to us either in advance or to your host when you arrive.
