This Mission combines physical trials and puzzle elements.
Expect sword combat, throwing stars, stealth sections and teamwork challenges as you climb the mountain to complete your Ninja training.
A great choice for players who enjoy movement, combat and adventure along with escape-room style puzzles.
The mission
Your Ninja training is almost complete.
One final challenge remains: ascend the thousand steps to the mountain temple, complete the trials along the way, and prove yourself worthy to face your master in combat.
Only then can you defeat your master and become true Ninjas.

We’ll get you set up, explain everything clearly and guide you while you play.
No VR or gaming experience is needed.

HOW YOUR SESSION WORKS
Your booking is completely private — your group will be the only players in the building during your session.
Your host will guide you through the experience, help you get comfortable in VR and give hints if your team gets stuck.
You’ll spend around 45 minutes in VR completing the Ninja Trials together.
ABOUT NINJA TRIALS
Ninja Trials is an action-led VR Mission at VR Escape in Hockley, Essex.
Players work together as trainee Ninjas completing a series of mountain trials involving stealth, combat and tactics before facing their master in a final showdown.
Compared with our traditional puzzle-led escape rooms, Ninja Trials focuses much more on activity and physical interaction, making it one of our more skill led VR experiences.

Is Ninja Trials scary?
No. Ninja Trials is an action-adventure experience.
Is Ninja Trials mainly puzzles or combat?
This challenge focuses more on action, movement and teamwork than traditional escape-rooms but retains some lovely escape room elements. We’d say it’s 35% Puzzles, 65% Activity.
Is VR experience needed?
No. Your host will guide you through everything before you start and is on hand throughout if you get stuck.
How many players can join?
2–6 players.
How long is the session?
You’re with us for an hour, of which around 45 minutes is in VR.
Is the session private?
Yes. Your booking is completely private — your group will be the only players in the building during your session.
Where is VR Escape?
VR Escape is based in Hockley, Essex, close to Southend, Chelmsford and Basildon.
